Hurry up and wait

So I guess I'm a little anxious.

I quickly completed my paperwork for my new job and now it's time to play the waiting game. No call back yet but it's only been three days. I left a voicemail and hopefully they'll call me back on Monday.

Meanwhile, I have a wedding to DJ tomorrow. I'm standing in for another DJ, who will give me more info soon. So I'm waiting for that too.

What do I do while I wait? Relax, I guess. Do stuff like this (writing blogs).

And go out and enjoy the weekend. Which is what I'll do. You guys do the same and I'll talk to you Monday!

Busy, busy, busy...

Hey everyone, I hope you all had a safe Labor Day weekend. I've been busy today filling out paperwork for my new job. Also, I got a new gig for Saturday, another wedding!

Decisions, decisions...

Hello, ya'll. Today, I was gonna talk about my gig this past Saturday but I have to save that for another time.

Over the course of three days, I went from being passed over again for a job offer to getting TWO JOB OFFERS! Friday, an interviewer called me to tell me that I wasn't chosen but instead gave me feedback. I was disappointed but I appreciated the feedback.

Then Monday, I got one job offer in one state and today, I got another job offer in another state! THE DROUGHT IS OVER!!

Don't get me wrong, I still love to DJ and I wish I could do it everyday (the wedding I did WAS fun). But I need a full-time job to support my family while I DJ.

So now, I need to decide which job I'm gonna take. So if you don't hear from me in a while, you'll know why. Take care...

Got a gig to do tomorrow

Hey, what's good? Pretty good week, can't complain. I got some more info on schools because, as I mentioned, I might go back and get my master's. But today, I'm focused on tomorrow's wedding that I'm gonna DJ. I gotta go and gather all the songs.

Gig tomorrow, 12th anniversary Sunday

Tomorrow, I have my gig announcing a football game. It'll be for my kids' youth football teams, the Foss Jr. Falcons of Tacoma. I never announced a game before so it should be fun.

Also, I'd like to give a shout out to my beautiful wife Tiffany. Our anniversary will be on Sunday, which will make 12 years of bliss. I'll take her out that night after taking the kids to the M's game during the day (my favorite AL team, the White Sox, comes to town).

Pretty successful week

Happy Friday, ya'll.

It was a pretty good week. I started off with a gig on Sunday which went great. While speaking on the mic, I delivered so well that I used that same confidence for my two job interviews this week. I had a face-to-face on Tuesday (which I wore my new suit for) and a phone interview on Thursday. I think I did well on both of them, or at least better than on my previous interviews. Finally, I sent thank-you emails to some of the employers that either rejected me or didn't call me after the interview. I heard that it'll help the employers keep you in mind but I dunno. (What would I have to lose? I'm already not getting the job.) At the very least, it'll make me feel good because I'll have the last word and not them.

Oh yeah, I'm also looking into going back to school while looking for full-time work. Maybe I can expand on this entertainment thing. I'll let you know how that goes too.

Alright, it's Friday!

Looking forward to a good weekend. I got a gig on Sunday to DJ at an anniversary party. Also, I get to pick up my suit that I'm gonna wear for my interview on Tuesday. And the weather should be decent.
